When you have a dental emergency, you can count on White Center Smiles to take care of you. No one wants to suffer through a day of painful toothache or worry about a tooth that has been knocked out. From swelling to broken teeth to excessive bleeding, we will take care of your emergency and have you feeling better soon!
If you are in need of emergency dentistry, call us right away. In the meantime, use an icepack on the affected area and take a pain reliever. If your child has a toothache, take a look inside your child’s mouth to look for any swelling or redness. Do not apply aspirin directly to mouth tissue.
Save any teeth that have been knocked out. If possible, place the tooth back in without touching the root. If not, keep the tooth moist by either holding it between your cheek and gums or placing it in a small glass of milk.
For a cracked tooth or a toothache, rinse your mouth out with warm water. Apply an ice pack to keep the swelling down. If you have food caught between your teeth, carefully use floss to get it out. Never use anything sharp or pointed to remove anything stuck in the mouth.
Some emergencies need even more immediate critical attention. If you or your child has a fractured jaw, head trauma, or bleeding that won’t stop, you should go to an emergency room. If you have a question about your emergency, call our office and we can help you answer any questions you have.
